Who we are

Thank you for stopping by my website. I am Latoya D. Allen. I have 18.5 years in business with 16.5 of those years with a publicly traded Food Manufacturing company and the other 2 most recently with a private Life Sciences company. Over the years, I've gained a lot of business knowledge in the areas of Transportation, Manufacturing, System Implementations, Inventory Management, Cost Accounting, Operations Accounting, and People Leadership. Since stepping away from my most recent role as Director of Operations Accounting in August 2025 at the private company, during an interview with a potential employer I was asked what was one of the things I was most proud of accomplishing in either of the roles I held over the course of my 18.5 year career. I smiled and I had to say that it was always when I was training someone. A lot of my career was promoting change. With an ever changing market and technology, I was forced to stay in the role of a student, always learning and staying abreast with those changes. With the roles I held, I had to embrace CHANGE. For some people, change can be daunting and intimidating. I took pride in being able to take something that can be extremely complicated from a technological or business process standpoint and break it down to where an average user could understand it. You'd be surprised how many people will opt to an early retirement instead of embracing something new. So I was just glad I was blessed with the ability to help someone regain a level of confidence to embrace that technological change.

That conversation with that potential employer is what birthed the idea of Latoya D. Allen Consulting, LLC. With this business venture, I hope to offer a bit of the knowledge that I've learned over the years by consulting individual users with some business questions or assisting small businesses with special projects around business process review and documentation of those processes. The individual consulting could entail being presented with a problem whether systematically or business process wise and offering some options for a resolve. The special projects could entail shadowing team members in-person or virtually to understand a business process, documenting each person's process with step-by-step instruction, then following it up with a big picture process flow. For example, the business process for Receiving will outline each click of a mouse or physical step that the user(s) takes when handling the receipt of goods. Whereas, the big picture process flow may outline the high level points of that process. Having role based instructions is beneficial to a company for cross-training purposes and when streamlining a transition of duties.

Please let me know how Latoya D. Allen Consulting, LLC can be of service to you or your company. I'd be glad to schedule a consultation to discuss your business needs along with my capabilities, and possibly us moving forward with a future business partnership.
